*blinks* My email? I got nothing. *looks under old emails* Nope.

The suspense is killing me. What are we meant to be looking for?

I got it!! Will read, and post all of the answers first thing tomorrow for everyone who didn't get it, I promise. They will be there when you wake up. I'm afraid I can't do it before then because history homework must be done and I've forced myself to stop reading at question thirteen. No more until I finish evaluating Henry VII's foreign policy.

*sighs*

So exciting!

But yes, history homework is very important. Or so they say...

:) I read another question. Bad Rowana.

Mind you, if anyone here has ever studied early modern history and can give me a hand...I'm struck by the similarities between medieval foreign policy and Gen's. Political marriages, ridiculous quests, a few loonies, arrogant foreigners, idealistic soldiers, maimed Kings, some Netherlands and few more silly bastards. The similarities are astounding.

Chapter One...the establishment of a dynasty. :) Another possible similarity?

*shuts up*

there would be a reason for that. . .

*blinks* It's too late for exclamation marks. :)

Actually, medieval history does give a different way of looking at the type of politics represented in the books. I'm studying the issues of security on the throne, and how this is affected by marriage, and parliament's confirmation, and the means of gaining the throne at the moment. All very relevant and interesting. It certainly gives a better understanding of the extent to which, and excatly why the Attolian's don't trust him.

I also came across the fact that people involved in political marriages rarely travelled back to their home countries, as they were considered from then on to be devoid of most previous ties. Poor Gen, if this is the case.

Bizarre isn't it? Poor Anne of Cleves, stuck in England forever, wasn't she?

Bizarre is a very good word. :) Anne of Cleaves managed to get out with an Anullment, Catherine Of Aragon had it pretty bad. Margaret Tudor's younger sister had the right idea, running back to England and eloping as soon as possible.

And I never realised the Eddisian's would have highland accents, but I feel that I should have because 'you silly bastard' sounds perfect in a Scottish accent.

Not quite. 11:30. :) I'm procrastinating again. Need coffee. Students don't sleep in England.

Students don't sleep in England.

I'm starting to realize that's true of students everywhere.

Good point. :) At least I managed to get the work done and get to bed by 2.am. The one mistake was then skipping half of the History tutorial in which my essay was due this morning in order to post the email.

*sighs*

Hey, you can't do it all. At least you finished the homework, I love the feeling of release that comes with finishing a big project, even if I am horribly late for the class.

And thanks again, [livejournal.com profile] rowana, for your hard work.

Somebody please clue in the last-person-on-earth-to-catch-on-to-things exactly what has happened. An email of some sort has been sent to various group members, someone named Megan is posting here, and [livejournal.com profile] fabricalchemist is missing? Seriously, what is going *on*?

Danny, who feels out of the loop

Don't worry, danny. The Megan who is posting is our highly esteemed author, Megan Whalen Turner. The email in question contains her answers to our questions. And yes, fabricalchemist has been missing as of late.

Oh, you're a doll. I've been refreshing my browser about 20 times a minute just waiting for someone to reply. (So pathetic!)

How exciting though, I can't wait to see this email!

Yes, Fox...very bad shows...*shifty eyes*

Thanks for taking pity, I was going crazy with the excitement wondering what it could be. Now that I know what's happeneing I'm just as excited, but not nearly so frantic. (I'm also medicated now, so perhaps that's why I'm so chill.)

By the way, hello Megan, if you're still here. It's positively lovely to meet you and I do hope you stick around. I've no doubt you prescence will be every bit as stimulating as your wonderful books. Perhaps if you get a livejournal of your own, you'd friend me? I would be honored to friend you back. :)

My hands are moving a bit sluggishly now, which is my cue to go to bed. Please everyone have a wonderful night, and I hope that we will all wake up to very exciting posts in the morning. :) Love and such, Danny.

Hi, I'm new here, and perhaps I'm being a bit thick but I can't find where these answers were posted. Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks. :)

Hello, and welcome!

Thanks!

We made an agreement with Megan that the answers would be posted for only a month or so

Oh I see. That's cool - just glad I wasn't missing something really obvious, lol.
