Sophos and Gen fanart

Hey! Long time no post... I recently picked up QoA to reread and suddenly it came back to me why I loved these books so much. I read KoA and now I'm finishing Thief (I know, I know, I should have read them in order even if I know what's going to happen...)

Anyways, it made me want to fanart so here's a little sketch:

I always want to do research to get the clothes right but I always forget so I apologize for that, and if I got the characters description wrong (in my head Sophos looks/is younger than Gen but I don't know if that's canon or I made it up).

Yes and yes. I wasn't really thinking about what hand he had to eat with when I sketched this (as I was supposed to be paying attention in class :P).

hahah yes when it comes to food! no worries. he's secretly ambidextrous, thieves need to be :) thats why he adjusts so well. Great PIC overall!

Their expressions are spot-on! And I like the detail on Sophos's clothes vs. the lack of detail on Gen's clothes.

Wasn't he pretty much ambidextrous? Except for writing and putting hair behind his right ear.

Also, I love Sophos in this. I've never pictured him so boyish, even though I know he was quite young at this point.

I have this weird way of not picturing faces usually. When I picture a scene, I see more their presence than their appearance, if that makes any sense.

I really want some fanart for Irene/Gen now. But the trouble is I already back-owe you for Spock/Uhura fanart...bah, to my current BBT fic kick! Anyway, I newly appreciate this, having read the third book where Gen is often complaining about his hunger.

I don't remember...how long is Gen's hair in later books? I wast picturing it around chin or shoulder length while I read. But it was long enough to braid in The Thief.

I believe Gen cuts his hair in QoA and lets is short after that.
