queensthiefI just joined this community, and I'm so glad that it exists! :D Only finished reading King of Attolia for the first time this afternoon, so I wanted to avoid fandom-related things until I had completed the series and wouldn't have to worry about spoilers.
Anyway, my name is Ali and I'm 23 years old. First read The Thief a couple of years ago when I was getting a bunch of random books from the library (I heard about it from a book recommendation post on another livejournal community), and absolutely loved it. A month or so ago, I reread it and have since gone on to read the sequels as well. I am so intrigued by the world and characters within these books.
Now I'm gonna go back through the past entries and see what conversations and fanworks are to be seen...

It was the first book in the series that I read, the most Gen-centric (necessarily, as it's his POV) and I also loved Sophos being there, instead of just mentioned, or missing! At this point I enjoy SmugandRoguishThief!Gen more than EnigmaticKing!Gen. Though the latter is great as well, and extremely intriguing. It's just a strange transition to make, so I am not sure how I will feel once I'm able to step back more and look at the series as a whole through rereads and such.

Kinda OT, but I wonder if anyone's ever been hooked on the books by reading the Thief! short story first?
