[identity profile] tencups-i-swear.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] queensthief

Hey fellow Sounisians!
I've been meaning to submit pictures here for aaaaggeees but I also keep forgetting. And now I've done a lot of Queens Thief fanart but instead of scamming Sounis with picture after picture I'll just give the link to my Queens Thief gallery in Deviantart, here,  http://goat-foot-baa.deviantart.com/gallery/#Queens-Thief
Hope you enjoy!

Very nice, Tencups.

I especially like "His Nightmare". It looks quite... scary...

Oh, I like these, TC! Soooo nice! I like your family portrait, heh, heh. But tell TA to back off my guy, huh? ;-D

I thought you were fighting with Jade over who gets to marry Costis, not TA; or do you all want marry him?

Unfortunately, I don't believe... Costis is a polygamist. Although, according to that "One Book Club" his creator is.

Pray-tell, how exactly does one stereotype a polygamist? I'm still trying to figure out what word they were searching for... Plagiarist? Polemics? Polyglot?

Hmmm... Perhaps, I should not bother.

Anyway, how are you three going to settle this? By Queen's Thief character election, perhaps? Costis, of course, gets no say in the matter.

Wait Costis's creator...as in Mrs. Turner? *is confused*. Is a polygamist? Is this just a nasty rumor or opinion?

I can't remember the tags used to search it out in Sounis (maybe someone else does?) but the title of the post *I think* was "That One Book Club" and there's a link to an online book club that discussed the series and, in what one hopes was a typot, described MWT as a polygamist.

I apologize for my thoughtlessness, Locket.

I should insert links before I start making obscure reference to Sounis posts not everyone may have read.

Prepare to be enraged...

Hmmmph who the heck is Eugene...OK I know they mean Gen but that is not the nick name I would have thought for him. No offense to anyone in that 'one bookclub'

*feels so sad that they didn't get the full understanding of the plot*

Oh well, at least we all appreciate the books here, right? Like said in a comment on a previous post 'We're not weird, they are.'

Yes... I also wondered who Eugene was. I can't decide if that person misremebered his name, or if that person fabricated their own version of his name. Hmmm...

I suppose, I can understand why certain people may not have been as enamored by the political intrigue as I was. It's not to everyone's taste to obsess over the events of the malagnant Tudor court.

But still...

One would think they might have a better appreciation of the level of skill it takes to weave layers and layers of cryptic messages into a 200 page (averaging) young adult novel.

Mrs. Turner's portral of politcal intrigue is quite acurate to the the courts of Europe. If they knew what is historical and not what is pop-culture historical, they would know that.

I'm still laughing over the whole "gays didn't exist in ancient times" comment. Clearly, they've never heard of Sapho.

Hmmm, we know so little of Costis' life outside the palace at this point...I really feel his support (or otherwise) of polygamy is still up for grabs. Any canonical passages found yet relating to this? Might be something MWT is waiting to clear up in the next book? ;-)

Yesss, after she has met me I'm sure that plot point will be cleared up. I am clearly Costis' soul (and sole, too!) partner.

*snarls at Jade and Te Aroha*

Of course, I have no plans to meet MWT, so she may not know this...perhaps one day she will drop in and read the comments.

Tencups, you know I like them :D

Can I recommend the pictures called 'I cut off your hand' and 'If I told you I wasn't scared'? They're on tencups' second QT page (er, I think so) and they're my favourites. Lovely lines and lovely expressions.

(tencups, I still think that *all* characters need to be drawn with pelvis bones, kthnxbai)

oops. They're on the first page on the QT gallery. My bad.

Aroha, I know they need to be drawn with pelvic bones. Unfortunatly for the people I draw I rather concentrating on hair, and expressions. :)

Ohhh pretty pictures. They do look familiar though, I think I've visited your profile before. Are you by any chance part of the Queen's Thief guild there? Ok I know the answer is obvious but I need to be sure.

Again, awesome work...*loves all of them so much* especially the Nahuserfish.

Err no, I'm not good at art but I did attempt to make some strage wordle (which wasn't really a wordle) but it wasn't in the club either.

What I really like about them is how in addition to drawing the characters as you see them, you take a scene you like and sort of illustrate it. Very nice.

And may I draw attention to one on page 2 called MWT as the Great Goddess? With one eyebrow raised and an inkpot in her hand.

You're especially good at giving Gen's eyes that "I'm up to something" look.
