That is confusing. Amazon UK also says April 2010. If Canada releases the book first, I know which site we're all going to order from. I wonder if they do overseas shipping?

Hmmm, I don't know what to make of these dates but I do know one thing...I am going to buy from the first person/supplier who will sell it. But we do need to know when it really should be, I mean how are we supposed to do a countdown?

Hey guys - I've never actually waited for a release before (besides HP and that doesn't count)... most of the books I waited breathlessly for were aready out, but incredibly hard to find. So, I need to ask a question.

Does the hardback come out before the paperback? Cause in a perfect world I'd get the paperback, to fit with my other copies, but all the sites only sell hardback. I guess it would be more durable...

Generally the paperback comes out about a year after the hardback. :/ I, too, want to get paperback to match my set, but we'll see. I won't be able to wait that long!

I wish I could have a matching set. All three of my books are different editions already lol. I'm still not really a fan of the new covers. I like the old "Queen of Attolia" in which the cover shows Gen kidnapping Attolia on the boat.

I'm voting for the earliest date possible. :o) Did anybody notice that on the Harper Collins page with the CoK picture and summary, that they spelled Megan and Whalen wrong? They spelled it Meghan Whaler Turner, that's weird!

Yeah, they did spell her name wrong, which makes me doubt the validity of the April release date.

I don't know, but I wouldn't trust a date from Amazon (AmazonUS, at least) at all until it's confirmed by the publisher. They are pretty much the kings of putting up unreliable release dates-- I've lost track of how many times new dates have been put up for George RR Martin books, not one of them proving reilable.
