[identity profile] sandtree.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] queensthief
I was surprised and happy to find that there is a community for these books. I didn't know they existed until a couple weeks ago, when I saw them at the bookstore and they caught my interest. I've since read The Thief and The Queen of Attolia, and I loved them, especially Queen of Attolia.

I think my favourite aspect of the books is the plot twists. I love a good plot twist. The characters are also awesome. Megan Whalen Turner is definitely a very talented writer.

I finished Queen of Attolia today, and I'm going to buy King of Attolia on Thursday when I go to the States, but I'm really impatient to read it! It was the first one I saw at the bookstore, the one that originally caught my interest, but I only bought the first two, which were in paperback. But I'll get it on Thursday and probably finish it over the weekend, and then I'll be at liberty to go through this community more, because for now I don't want spoilers.

I think that's about it... my name is Alison, I'm 18, and I live in Canada. I also write young adult fiction that will probably never see the light of day. :P

Welcome! It's always nice when more people join. Especially someone who's so new to the books. :)

The twists are probably the things that really catch your attention in the first two books. It's great to re-read later and find lots of hints and wonder how you could have missed the fact that something was going on. :)

Have fun with KoA this weekend. I don't think I'll be spoiling you if I say it's different from the first two books, but not in a bad way.
