I'm not even dressed for work yet, but had to stop and share this wonderful interview with MWT on HipWriterMama's blog. It includes photos of [livejournal.com profile] emerald_happy's dolls!

Great interview! Thanks for posting. :)

Also: two more books. So exciting an exclamation point cannot even do it justice. :D

Yes, she said previously (before we knew about ACoK) there could be up to three more books. It's nice to get confirmation she has some sort of idea how they're all going to end up.

Thanks. She also has Eddis and Sophos! Photos here:

Eddis: http://community.livejournal.com/sounis/121142.html#cutid1
Sophos: http://community.livejournal.com/sounis/112886.html#cutid1

I may have to make more signs for Sophos after ACoK comes out...

Id Amo!I did see them before, but never took a good look at all the photos. They're just adorable.

Signs For Sophos After CofK: 'Dear MWT. Why a Peashooter? Why?'
'Dear MWT: So I should be careful what I wish for. I get it. Thanks.'
'Sophos: Pirate Captain Reprobate/Prisoner'

Your icon is win. Though it's worrying at first I thought it was a gravestone.

LOL. I found my age-old sketches for the Magus one which probably won't get made for a long time. Added a footnote: Magus takes bath: find tiny yellow duck...

From: [identity profile] tearoha.livejournal.com
Gahh! I never realised, but you're right. It's from the part of TT where Gen thinks he wants to just stay asleep in the grass, and could become a convenient sort of mile marker. :D

Why does my brain insist on thinking of the Magus' bath with bubbles spilling everywhere and lavender soap? I have some tiny tiny rubber ducks, but I'm afraid they're not yellow. I bought them in the kind of trendy kitsch shop you get in artsy city areas.

From: [identity profile] emerald-happy.livejournal.com
Yeah, I recognise it. Convinient sort of milestone.Get to the thief and you're halfway to Methana, wherever that may be. And the Magus is like: dammit, I want to be in Matinea by tonight. Let's eat while he sleeps. Prickly grass. Pol pokes him.

My brain was doing that too! He does use honeysuckle soap though. It's in The Thief. You can get little ducks from crafts stores which sell dolls house components. Or I can make one out of oven bake clay

It's more important, I think, to know when I need to flesh them out less.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooo! we want more, not less!

Monday morning just got a whole lot brighter! Thanks for posting that! Great news, fascinating insights, and Megan is very funny, isn't she? Coolest dolls in the world. Cooler even than My Fair Lady at Ascot Barbie.

WOW!!! 2 more books?!

Ireallyhopeilivelongenoughtoreadthemallihopeihopeihope....

OK sorry for the incoherent outburst, but that was SO awesome!!

I somehow knew she loved Joan Aiken, and a friend of mine has been telling me to read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell for years. So now I really have to -- as soon as I stop being buried in books for the library podcasts. Not that it's bad to be buried in books, mind you....

MWT, you rule! And thanks so much, Emma. And Emeraldhappy, those dolls are SO cute! You are so talented!!

(oh, and if anybody is wondering -- no, I don't usually write with this many exclamation points!!!)

Awesome interview! I really need to read "Instead of Three Wishes". Also, so interesting that Megan says sequel-writing is hard for her, given how ridiculously good at it she is. My admiration for her just grows and grows!

(Ok, not really, cuz I have not mastered the "less is more" thing that MWT does so well. I got the Google alert of this interview after my workout and had to sit and read the whole thing on my Blackberry. Awesome! Thanks for posting the link, Emma, because if I do manage to post a link it always amazes me, because usually it doesn't work, because, well, I'm excited and I'm incoherent and I just realized I used because, like 5,000 times. In a row. And Em is FAMOUS! YAY EM! I am sooo impressed. The detail in those dolls is fantabulous. Oh, my, I have the best taste in on-line friends! Sounis rocks.)

MEGAN WHALEN TURNER RULES! SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
