First Review of A CONSPIRACY OF KINGS!

I read the ARC of A Conspiracy of Kings yesterday afternoon* and am still in the throes of wild ecstasies of love (not to mention the desperate impulse to READ IT AGAIN RIGHT NOW), but I managed to come up with a fairly coherent (and NON-SPOILERY) review of the book on my journal.

I like making people happy. Especially when it's so easy to do, because it involves just telling the truth about how WONDERFUL this book is.

It is like a giant love letter to this comm all tied up with a big red bow, it really is.

READ IT AGAIN. READ IT MANY TIMES. KNOW IT OFF BY HEART.

I am going to be one of the last people to get the book because it is going to be a published before my final year uni exams and when I first read KoA I could not think about anything else for a month so I can't risk failing because of ACoK.

As for passing the ARC on maybe we could have some competition on What Do You Think Happens in ACoK? entries could be art, limericks, anything. Or you could just auction it off for charity. Or we could randomly pull out a sequence of names and mail it from person to person like a giant chain love letter of reprobatish doom.

I personally, would offer pay for shipping to get it to Utah, where I would consume it in exactly one day and then quickly pass it on to other members of the comm who live here. Then we could ship it off somewhere else to spread the amazing amount of awesome and it would take over the world and...
okay I'll stop fantasizing. I'm not serious, unless you take me seriously, in which case you should send me the book! :D

But the thing is, I've reached that stage (heretofore experienced only in regard to Harry Potter) where I am so deeply anticipating the book that I almost don't want to read it, because then it's all over... But I will say, it's kind of amazing to have that feeling again.

I completely agree! I haven't felt this excited about a book release since Harry Potter 7! I'm going to have my own little party.
It's so lonely being the ONLY Queen's Theif fan I know! None of my friends are giving it a chance. They're much to caught up with Twilight (not that I have anything against sparkly vampires) its just...not the same (as a one handed theif, that is). Sighhh...\

I'm going to wait to read your review till I've read the book even though you avoided the spoilers, but I'm very very very glad to hear that you think it's wonderful. I've just read the chapters Greenwillow posted (that's not spoilers, that's just starting a book that I won't be able to finish for months) and it's looking wonderful so far.

What a splendid thing to be an author and get benefits like that!
