Passing on this message from Megan Whalen Turner.

Christmas is coming and I could really use a latte. Is there anyone in the San Diego area who might like to meet up at Mysterious Galaxy bookstore which has a conveniently located Starbucks next door?

Megan

Sounds like a good time to get those books signed.

I highly recommend the Gingerbread latte--it's only out this time of year.

Well, I'll be there, if it doesn't conflict with mandatory Christmas family stuff (decorating day is already over..).

When are we talking?

Hmm, it's just a bit far, but maybe I could turn it into a day down in San Diego! Depends on when, I suppose, since I don't get back to CA for almost another week, and then I have a bunch of Christmas stuff.

Ditto. Worst latte I've ever had.

All dates are pretty much the same to me. We could do it Sunday, December 20, if you like. Understand, the poor people at Mysterious Galaxy are in the dark and I don't know that they could get the books in even if we gave them a heads-up. If it is better to get together after the Christmas rush, that's okay, too.

Can it be between Dec. 19 and Jan. 17 but not within a few days of Christmas please? I'm coming home around then and I'll probably be able to drive out to San Diego one day, but not around Christmas. Early January is much better.

Emerald, I'll be drinking hot chocolate too! I can't handle coffee.

That's it. I have to move to California. Right after I finish my paper on "Troilus and Cressida." Because that will happen any time now. (It's fun to use short sentances. Especially when you are used to stretching everything you write. Because of professors' page counts.)

(Please forgive my insanity... finals...)

hey! no it's not! there are plenty of people chilling around the midwest. I wonder if there's enough for a Chicago or Indy meetup (also, Indy meet up means John Green stalking, just saying).

I second this! I mean, I don't know what butter tablets are. But I'd give you a New York latte! Or a big apple. Or both.

I'm actually in Indiana, not Illinois, so it might be a different 31. I go to Notre Dame. :-)
