Yesterday, I was watching Harry Potter and the Socerer's Stone and as a watch little Harry, Hermione, Ron and Malfoy line up for the sorting hat I could help but wonder...

What house would Eugenides be sorted into?

Now, that really stumped me so I thought: Where do YOU think the sorting hat would place Gen?

How about Eddis, Irene Attolia, Costis, Aris, Lady Heiro, Stenides Relius, Teleus, MoW, the Erondite brothers, Narhuserfish?

Also who do you think would make their house Quidditch team?

A bit on the houses: 

Gryffindor: 
values courage, bravery, loyalty, nerve and chivalry.
Mascot: Lion
Colors: Scarlet & Gold

Hufflepuff:
values hardwork, tolerance, loyalty and fairplay
Mascot: Badger
Colors: Canary Yellow, Black

Ravenclaw:
values intelligence, creativity, learning and wit
Mascot: Eagle
Colors: Blue and Bronze

Slytherin: 
values ambition, cunning, leadership, resourcefulness
Mascot: Serpent
Colors: Green and Silver

Hmmm, Hmmm, I'm inclined to say EUgenides would be in Gryffindor. Also in Ravenclaw. Um, and in Slytherin. Oh yeah, and in Hufflepuff. Hamiathes Hiney. Mostly though, He's a cross between a Slytherin and a Grryindor. WIth quite a lot of Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw thrown in.

Eddis, Hufflepuff? But she's also very smart. AND brave. So um.
Attolia. Slytherin . . .but . . . Ravenclaw?

Gen and Attolia would both be in Slytherin, hands down.

Eddis--I waver. Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.

Relius would also be a Slytherin.

Teleus and Costis would be Gryffindors, and probably Gen's dad too.

Nahuserfish would be a Slytherin, as would be Sejanus and Erondites the Elder. Dite I'm not sure about; probably Ravenclaw.

Aris--probz Gryffindor. Or Hufflepuff.

Heiro would be a kickbutt Ravenclaw prefect. Along with Stenides. *suddenly ships*

I think Eddis is a Gryffindor, I don't know why, but out of everything she seems brave, launching her country into war to avenge Gen's hand? Very Gryffindor.

Does is make a difference that for Slytherin I left out the descriptions of "believes in being PURE BLOODED" I didn't think it matter much, but still...

Hmm, yes I thought about that. That's one of the reasons i'm so confuzzled like. But I always think of Eddis as sort of, Loyal, hardworking, kind. Also, When I think of Eddis I kind of match yellow up with her (?!) so, so, so.

LOL, maybe I'm just in denial of not wanting to put Gen in Slytherin... but then again if MoW was in Gryffindor and Gen in Slytherin, that would explain a lot :|

I definitely think Eddis is a Gryffindor, more than anything, possibly a Ravenclaw...

Stenides - As of right now, Hufflepuff, but I'd have to know more about him.
Relius - joins Irene and Gen in Slytherin.
Teleus - Gryffindor.
Sejanus - Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... Slytherpuff.
Dite - Ravenclaw.
Nahuserfish - Slytherin.

well, as some of my friends are quick to point out, Slytherin /=/ evil. Slytherin = cunning, and through years of breeding and family tradition (/a preference for purebloods), most of the cunning people that end up there are pressured to use their cunning for evil. But based on pure House description, Attolia and Gen are Slytherins. So, there you go.

...I wouldn't call that "brave" so much as "stubborn"...which, if you tilt your head, is a very Gryffindorish trait, especially as exhibit by Mr. Potter.

How sad? It's not sad! Just because the Gryffindor-slanted media talks down on them doesn't mean Slytherin is a lesser house. That's all propaganda!

(Though I seriously have to wonder how the Slyths DID end up with a bad rap in HP-verse, Dark Lords and all--in what universe does being in the media not require a surfeit of cunning and ambition?)

Plus he has that whole straightforward approach to problems that I associate v. much w/Gryffindor. EG, "THEY THINK I LIED?" and, knocking over nobles and shooting doors and all that jazz.
