Eddis, I mean! This is Stephanie Leonidas -- My sister and I watched Mirrormask the other day, and we thought she was brilliant, and would make a GREAT Eddis. what do you guys think?

I think she is prettier than Eddis is supposed to be but I can still see her in the movie version, in which I imagine everyone is better-looking than they are supposed to be. (c: She's not super exotic like I imagine Attolia to be, so I bet she would play well off of someone who is. I haven't seen MirrorMask yet -- it is awesome?

Much too pretty. I don't think Eugenides is kidding when he says she's ugly. Attractive, but ugly.

In my mind's eye Eddis is never close to being pretty, but is instead very compelling and attractive. I think that's possible.

I quite like her! She has the square jaw and curly hair thing going on. She is a bit lighter than I imagined, but that's a debatable judgment since we really don't know how dark the Eddisians are in comparison to the other peoples. I also agree that if we are going to look for possible actresses for Eddis, we really have to keep in mind that they are all going to be too pretty.

A note on the too-pretty thing--

The crooked nose, etc, could probably be done with make-up if they had to. It's a shame, but...yeah. Most actors are pretty just because Hollywood standards suck and people expect it.

Imagining her nose made up to look like it's been broken, I think she's maybe the closest match we've had yet, although aside from being "plain," I picture Eddis as stocky and Stephanie is quite willowy.

Actually, I find her a bit ugly so it could work, although she doesn't really look like Eddis to me past the ugly bit.

I think this actress is *perfect* and I will forever picture her face when I think Eddis. BTW, why should we believe Eddis is ugly? Because Gen says so? Well I don't believe him. Does any other character express this opinion? No, I think Eddis is pretty, but not amazingly beautiful like Attolia.

Remember that Eddis is not pretty. She has a broken nose. But then, I suppose Hollywood would mess with that anyway.
