As we enter the home stretch,

Will Attolis and Attolia and Eddis
Find out what the Mede is
Planning?

With what escapades will Gen the King be causing
People to be losing
Their minds?

There are five unending days more to endure till
The book that we're sure will
Be great.

BONUS: SPECIAL CHATZY REPROBATES VERSE!
Where did Sophos disappear to and how will
We pry from that towel
Costis?

Yes, it's supposed to be funny/creepy, but at least for me it's weirdly accurate.

Dormancy

There are hundreds of us
Legion, all
As they say.
Mothers, daughters, teachers, readers
Tall, short
We are disguised-
Walking, talking
As if we were normal.
We're not.
Our minds are tense, like runners waiting
For the bullet to crack the silence
Our fingers shift books from side to side on the shelves.
Pens draw a stone, a hook, a crown.
"Of course I'm doing homework, mom
Just taking a short break."
No we're not.
We are waiting for one thought,
For that day,
For a Conspiracy.

Love this. Because it's true. And very well-put.

Hymn to the Arrival

(a filk of Amazing Grace)

Now comes the Long-Awaited Time
By many Fans implored;
The Treasured Boxes on their way
Across the Land to stores.

Within, the Books so safely held
By Bubble Wrap and Tape,
More Precious still than Jewels or Gold,
Arrive without a Scrape.

As Long-Ago Readers feared the News
Of Little Nell's Demise,
Or Begged the Secret of the One
Sent J.R. to the Skies,

Or Waited till the Hour of Twelve
To find if You-Know-Who
Would spread his Darkness o'er the world
And Harry's plans Undo,

Far more Impatient, we await
The coming Gift of Prose
That brings us word of Sophos, in
Captivity by Foes.

All Hail the Writer and her Pen,
All Hail her Editor,
All Hail the Books of Willow Green
Who further Works ensure.

When we have Read our Copies Through
And Read them Through Again,
We've no less days to Beg More Books
Than when we First Began.

Four days, for real?
Can it really be?
Four days, four nights
Until the worldwide decree
that it's on the shelves
(and to the shelves we'll flee)
to seek that book, that Conspiracy.

Three countries,
three books(until now, there were).
Three days until
those books become four.

The time slinks by,
shadows cross the floor
as I wait and thing
"I WANT TO READ MORE!"

Three days,three nights
'fore that next encore
and the date, the day
which we can't ignore --

It's looming so close
ONLY THREE DAYS MORE!

Two days!
Too short, too long it seems
to wait for that book,
the book of our dreams.

We've waited weeks,
We've waited years.
We've taken peeks
at some spoileers.

But now, it's true!
As the sky is blue,
as the moon does lie,
as the Dystopia is dry:
Two days to wait! Two!
