Dear All,

Welcome to Tuesday,

On behalf of her gracious awesomeness, Magus Checkers of Sounis and a bunch of unlucky reprobates who have to wait to read ACoK:

ALL discussion of the book must be posted behind an LJ cut for at least a month. No icons with quotes from the new book on the main page either. After a month, anyone who haven’t got themselves a copy jump up and down and wave and we’ll extend it (or find some sneaky Gen like way to get you a copy.) If anyone posts with spoilers on the main page, or forgets the LJ cut, the entry will be deleted. It will be copied to a Word doc first to give the poster a chance to recover it and post it with a cut.

OTOH, spoiler discussion is allowed in Chatzy from Tuesday EST. If you haven’t read the book you might want to keep out of there until you have. There's a chat this weekend and it's going to be one crazy party.

Thank you for this. I'm in pretty serious thesis-writing mode, essays are about to pile up to be graded, and I'm broke, so I don't know when I'm going to be able to order the book let alone make time to read a few pages before I sleep and forget to fall asleep. (Yes, I'm going to be grinding my teeth pretty badly if "when" isn't "really really soon.")

Thanks for this! Hopefully it doesn't take a month for the book to get here. I keep calling the bookstore to ask if they have it already and they keep saying they don't know when it's going to get here.

It's just suddenly hitting me that the book is coming out tomorrow. I'll actually have it in my hands tomorrow! Eee! Of course, I probably won't be able to start reading it until Wednesday, because I'll be spending all day tomorrow writing an essay about the Cuban Missile Crisis, but still.

Sorry I kinda missed the whole discussion on my post, because of that stupid thing known to us humans as SCHOOL, but...

The mod has come to save the day! And Emerald. And everyone else. :)

About the ch by ch, some people seemed to like the idea, so I can put that up. However, there are 23 chapters and a prologue, according to the ARC, so maybe each could be 3 or 4 chapters, to save space.

I'd definitely say a post for each chapter at this stage would be excessive since a lot of squeeing is bound to cross chapters. Every 3-4 chapters sounds good! I'm sure it'll take some of us a few days to just write down thoughts coherantly instead of just HOMG GEN HOMG SOPHOS HOMG AWESOME WAS THAT IRENE I LOVE THEM SO MUCH etc.

also it was really Checkers' official message XD. I was just posting for her because I'm ahead timezones wise and some people have been getting the book a day earlier.
