Hi! I know I've been gone for... forever. But that's because I have a short attention span and such. Rereading KoA reminded me about my LJ so I bopped back in. ^^

That's basically it. Looking over the hordes of posts and making sure I won't repeat anything if I do post something, and seeing where I should comment.

Oh, but I have heard that MWT is writing a forth book, am I right? I want to see Gen and Irene's child(ren) since I do think Gen would dote on them. If you look at how he cared about Irene (Freaking when she faints, calling her a treasure, a challenge, etc) you can imagine how he would care about their children. Not to mention that if Irene's pregnant, her temper will be very, very short, so Gen will have to be King and a damn good one, since his Queen might be quick to judge.

And Thief of Eddis is a title for life, but Eddis doesn't have their Thief anymore - Gen is King. Could there be a problem with who gets the title next?

Ok, done with my many questions. ^^

I think Gen is the last thief, since Hamiathes' Gift has been disposed of. So there shouldn't be a power struggle for it.

That said, it would be hilarious if one of his hypothetical children decided he or she wanted to be a thief-- Gen would get paid back double all the worry he caused his father, Eddis, Attolia and Costis during his escapades!

Also, "who gets the title next?" seems to assume that someone will or should. But there isn't always a Thief, is there? I mean, even while the Gift was still around.

MWT is writing a fourth book apparently. And she mentioned in the answers to the fanletter we sent that gen will be the last Thief of Eddis.

I can't remember if you were still around when we sent off about 27 questions to MWT. She sent back a load of lovely answers, but asked us to take them down in a month or so, in case she changed her mind at some point. :) She didn't want contrary evidence floating around. So yes, sorry!

Last Thief?

I was for some reason imaging that Costis would be talked into being a Theif for Attollia. No More thief of Eddis but how about a change in title?
