Another interview with MWT.

Another author meetup has been posted, at the LA Book Festival, April 24 at 4:00 at Booth 614.

A very nice discussion guide for all four books.  And, interestingly enough, when you first click on it you can see ALL of Sophos's face for a second before the banner at the top covers part of it.  Weird.

I'm so glad that I can go to the other meetups... but really, I wish they had been posted much further in advance.

And, for the record, my mother is absolutely, positively, and unquestionably the awesomest EVER.

Oh, good, Checkers, you got this! I was really gonna try to post this link to this interview, just for Megan's brief comment about taking the 6-books-in-the-series with a grain of salt! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttt????
Well, isn't that enough to brighten me up a little!

hahaha, NICE. It didn't do it on this computer (too fast) and I was a tiny bit disappointed.

also

In The King of Attolia, Hilarion says, “Remember, the love of kings and queens is beyond the compass of us lesser mortals” (p. 199). How is this statement affirmed by the romantic relationships of Eugenides and Attolia and Sophos and Eddis? Why do you think the author allows these two royal couples to keep their love lives mostly private from the watchful eyes of other characters—and readers?

answer: because she enjoys torturing the fangirls.

other possible questions with that answer:
Why does MWT take so long between books? or
Why is Costis so devastatingly attractive?

WOW, considering how "fast" the webpage loaded, this is something to boast about indeed. Congratulations on your skillage.

*holds shield in front of self to avoid thrown rotten vegetables* I'm kind of glad they didn't show his face...he...well, his mouth and jawline are very sexy and good-looking, and I suppose the cheekbone is nice too, but I DEFINITELY didn't imagine his eyes like that! He sort of looks like a girl. Even when typing this, I accidentally put down "her" instead of "him" at first.

Hmm, he's not as manly-man as I imagine, still not bad.
Does this mean there's a full QoA cover somewhere as well?
I'd like to see how Attolia was portrayed.

You are awesome Jade! I hadn't even gotten a glimpse on my computer, and had been wondering what I was missing :)

do you think a separate post for this glorious picture is in order? I ask because I do not want to spam. :-b

also HECK TO THE YES his nose was broken. d'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw.

(is the scar on the other side of his face?)

Thank you! I clicked on the link like 5 times just to catch a glimpse of his face...now I don't have to!

Oooooh, that's awesome! Thank you Checkers! And Jade! I love Sophos' bump. It used to match mine. I was born with a bump just like that. Interestingly enough, I lost it when I fell off a horse and broke my nose very very badly, requiring rhinoplasty and a plastic surgeon's comment, "That was quite a deformity!". Um, no, that's my nose, thank you. The rhinoplasty didn't get rid of the bump; the fall from the horse did. Weird.

off topic...

Actually, they might. I've had blond friends with black eyebrows & beard [stubble] before.

Also, yay for your mom!

I'm glad they didn't show his face, too. It looks kind of - squinchy. Like the top of his face isn't tall enough to match the bottom of it.

...joining in the conversation very late...
