While drawing this I had been thinking about that line and how much I love it.

Unfortunately, the better, neater version I had slaved over was lost when my computer randomly shut down. Twice. So, I thought i'd post this anyway...

What lines do you all love? I think it's time for some squeeing.

SQUEE!

Gen looks so serious and mature in this picture. I love his scar.

Duuuuude. That picture reminds me of another of my favorite lines: "If Attolia could look like a queen, Eugenides was like a god revealed, transformed into something wholly unfamiliar, surrounded by the cloth-of-gold bedcover like a deity on an altar, passionless and calculating."

I also enjoy the entire assassination attempt scene--pretty much every line of dialog there.

Oh, that's a wonderful portrait! And yes, a fantastic line too.

My favorite lines are the one in this icon, and also the one (and here I'm going by memory, so I'm sure someone will correct me where I've gone wrong) where Gen is in Attolia's prison silently praying, O my god, if you will not save me, make me less afraid.

This is absolutely lovely! Thank you so much for sharing it!

Hmm...favorite lines. There are always so many!

In keeping with your quote, sort of, I'll pick one of Ornon's more perceptive descriptions of Gen: "I have seen him jump across atriums four stories above the ground, a distance that would make your blood freeze, and I heard him once confess that he sometimes thinks the distance is beyond him. He always jumps..."

Such a stunning analysis of Gen's mode of operation. Plus, it gives me chills in the same way that the quote from your picture does.

Again, thanks!

Love the expression, especially since I imagine the rest of the time (in KoA anyways) he wears a dumb/buffoonish one to throw everybody off... lol

hahaha, for a while I was looking at it going, "why is Prince Zuko on Sounis?"

I think his skin should be darker, but I LOVE the scar, and just the general shape-of-everything. It is gorgeous.

THESE THINGS, THEY HAPPEN.

ah, I know what you mean. I realized that part of my problem is that he spends so much of his time sick and deathly pale that in my head he is sort of paper-white-tinged-with-green.
also boooooooooooooooooooooo computer crashes. I lost ten pages of the end of one of my novels, and haven't been able to finish it since. *pets*

Oh, and I'm just a little curious about how you drew and painted this. Was it done with a computer program and a drawing pad or do you use ink and watercolor?
