Speaking of Movies
Sep. 7th, 2010 06:22 amThis is sort of off topic, but addresses the issue of taking a beloved YA book/book series and making a movie out of it. Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden is the first of a hugely popular Australian book series, and the movie is set in Australia (filmed near Newcastle). The books were reprinted in the US about 8 years ago.
I thought the video clip did a fabulous job discussing the concerns and difficulty converting a book to a screen play... and those lovely Aussie accents are fun to listen to, just all on their own : )
