Happy Veteran's Day! & public holidays

What kinds of public holidays would they have in Eddis, Attolia, Sounis? Would they have Veteran's Day or something to celebrate local soldiery, or mostly gods-related occasions?

Well, Sounis has it's Navy Festival in the Spring... I'm not remembering any other specifically mentioned public celebrations. I need to re-read all the books though. It's been a few months since the last time I read through the series.

You know Eddis has to have some sort of "I've got cabin fever after being snowed in all winter, so let's party before I kill you" holiday; if nothing else, they'd have invented one after Gen was born.

You know... Considering Eddis is a military minded state, they should have something like a Veteran's Day.
