Hi guys! I am still not dead! I am super busy with school though, since this is the year we animation students do a group film! It is tiring and draining and fun all at the same time, and does not leave much room for doing or thinking about much else, including the rest of my non-group-film-related homework! So I have been neglecting you folks again. :C

This trend will only continue though, so to make myself feel better I did a quick paintover of an old piece of mine for you guys.

Original's [over here]. Done over two years ago! I remember how proud of it I was when I did it back then. New one's a bit better though, hmm?

A lot of the definition on his face (around the nose and mouth) make him look much more realistic in this new version. Good job! I do still like the old one a lot too. There's something about his expression (the older's) that I really like.

Yeah, the old one's expression looks a bit more... lighthearted, maybe? I used to imagine human!Eugenides and god!Eugenides as more or less the same person, but no longer. So I think I subconsciously made this version more, uh, sagely I guess, to make him feel different than human!Eugenides.

Also I wanted to make him hot. Definitely a main goal in this exercise. C:

Haha, is it weird that I imagine human!Eugenides' personality to be a crankier, rasher, more immature version of god!Eugenides'? Oh, and also without the impenetrably deep and mysterious glowy eyes, of course.

I'm definitely with you on that. Eugenides the god has had a long, long time to mature (if you could call it that), while our Gen (um, yes, he's OURS) is still pretty young. Not that it's an excuse...

I'm sorry, there's just something about the Blank Eyes combined with the Happy Cheerful Smile that is, to me, utterly creepifying. Aaaaaa. AAAAAAaaaaa.

But I guess that's a good characteristic for a god to have?

It's kind of funny, because every time I pop back into Sounis I notice how much better I've gotten since the last time I was here. It is like my litmus test!
