That was a great idea!

I've picked up 4 or 5 copies of The Thief at used book sales/stores in the past and found them good homes, which is more or less what I'm planning to do for the rest of my life, as long as copies continue to come my way. ;) There's a couple of girls, ages 11 and 13, that recently joined my writing club and I'm definitely seeing fan-potential there...

I have a current Calculus student who is on the second book of the series. I have not threatened his grades or promised to give him extra homework if he does not read them. You should be proud of me. I unfortunately do not teach literature, or I would push the series. Our school is a Classical/Christian school, so most of the books we read are classics. I will however be giving the books to the administrator's oldest boy soon. If he really likes it, I can push it as a modern classic. The teacher of that grade level is one of the ones I lent my books to in the past. She spent her last year in college pushing the books on other people so I know she would back me up.

My friend got the book and said, "Now that I have the first one, I will have to go out and get the rest of the series!" I've also told her to pass it on to another friend who I believe has fan-potential!

Though I suppose the warning was sufficient. Not that I have violent tendencies or anything...with the exception of QT books and/or inkpots
