I haven't had a lot of internet time lately so apologies if this has been addressed (I scanned but didn't see anything). Are their any meet-up type activities planned around the L.A. Times Festival of Books? I'm game for doing something and it's easier for me to meet beforehand but whatever works for the most people is probably best. If a meet-up can't come together then I hope we can find each other at the panel! We need a Sounis flag or something. :)

I was just thinking about asking that! I will be at the Festival from about 10:30 (my mom is going to an earlier panel!) and I'll be going to Megan's signing at 3:00, of course, and I would love to meet up with any of you at some point during that time, if possible. :)

Oh hey, I didn't even think about that! banjocatbanjo and I are attending the panel and likely the signing at 3.

But I don't know the USC campus too well so I couldn't possibly propose a meeting place. Maybe we can try to meet up at 11 or so before the panel? I should be there early.

I don't the USC campus very well either, I'm afraid. I'm down to meet before the panel though-- maybe we could just meet outside the building, I guess? I'm concerned I'd miss you, though.

That or we can just create a "Sounis" sign and hold it. :)

Sounds like everyone is willing to meet. I think meeting outside the building is a good idea - we can always wander around if we want.

If you look towards the upper right corner of the map you will see the Davidson Conference Center on the corner of Figueroa St and and West 34th St. It appears the blue triangle denoting the entrance is on the side of the building opposite the street.

What time is best for everyone to meet? Also, I'm betting we can come up with something to help us find each other. I can describe a hat I can wear or my backpack or whatever. Thoughts?

btw, I am going to go to the signing as well, but I have a panel that starts at 3:30 so I don't know that I will be able to be there for long. :(

I'm planning on arriving at the Mysterious Galaxy booth at about 2:30 pm for my 3:00 pm signing. If any of you would like to come talk, I'll be milling around somewhere near there.

Alrighty, I'll be outside the Davidson Center ~11:30am tomorrow before the panel is to start and, obviously, at Mysterious Galaxy Booth #371 at 2:30pm. :) Hope to see all the Sounisians who can make it! Yay!
