Queen's Thief Week!

It's finally here--it's Queen's Thief Week over at Chachic's Book Nook!

Stop by her blog every day between today and Jan. 29 for a new post about the Queen's Thief books.  There will be some guest bloggers (maybe even some folks you know) as chachic spreads the word about Eugenides and the awesomeness of the series.  The first post invites everyone to share how they found the series.  Try to keep everything there spoiler-free, so those poor wretches who haven't read the books--yet--can be surprised/horrified/delighted just as we were.

It's been awhile since we had a Sounis field trip!

Yay! I will definitely be checking in! Also, I have an announcement:

I am doing a fanfiction marathon to celebrate Queen's Thief Week! I will be posting one part of a 6 part story each day this week...You can read it on my journal, and I will be posting the links on queensthief_fic.

GenNdMe, one of our newest Sounisians, will be joining me and posting her first fanfic during the week, so be sure to check hers out too!

I would love to see even more fics popping up celebrating the charachter we all know and love! So if you feel so inclined, please feel free to post a fanfic!!

Well, I don't know of any way to get a post to show up on both your journal and the fanfic site besides to post it in both places. You could also just post it on your journal and then post on the fic site with just a link - that's what I'm doing. That way I can just edit my original post with a new link every day. I hope that answers your question!

Haha! BTW...What did you think of The Legend of Eli Monpress? That's the series that start with 'The Spirit Thief" right? I wanted to read it...but I didn't - obviously! Would you reccommend it?

Yes, I'd recommend it. It was light-hearted--no deep literature here--but it had great characters and was a lot of fun. I really loved Eli's character--he is very Gen-like. Beware, though, that the series hasn't ended yet. There's at least one more book to come. Boy, was I surprised when I got the end of book 3 and nothing was resolved. But I'll happily read more of the books!
