With all of the weeks of preparations, the practice runs, tweaks, and double checks...why did it not occur to me that LJ could crash at the exact moment I need it? I am more sorry than I can say to those of you who wanted to be there but were unable to access LJ to get to the link. There was funny authorization hoo-ha for links that was newly put into effect, but the problem went beyond that. Lj totally fizzed out. Nonetheless, those who were able to find their way there via previous linkage made the meetup a success and were engaging with wonderful questions and comments. I'm a little torn between disappointment that it didn't go off as planned, and comfort that I did all I could to prepare, and gratitude for the wonderful time we were able to have with those who where there. I guess I can just feel all of those things...but mostly the grateful part.

Lesson learned: spread the link far and wide beforehand in case LJ decides to go kaput. I only made it there when it occurred to me to go into my internet history and find the link from yesterday's test.
