Hello and Coleus leaf

Hello fellow Sounisians!

I have snooped on Sounis for quite a while and I always love reading what you all have to say. Whenever my sister and I have a Queen's Thief question you are always the first place I look for an answer. I don't think I've left disappointed yet! Recently we (my sister and I) have been rereading the Thief and we just read the part about the Coleus leaf. I read past discussions on this subject and it looks like you all have chewed on all of the possibilities, so I won't ask about that. I know there are many talented artists on Sounis though so I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to draw the Coleus leaf scene (with the Attolian soldier and everything)? That would be a cool picture. :)

As far as I know, nobody has yet made fanart for that scene. However, a quick google image search informs me that coleus leaves look really cool.

That would be so awesome! I always love the fan art on Sounis and the tumblr Heleneddis. I would draw it myself, but I know from experience that it won't look like what it's supposed to be. :(

Welcome! I can't help with the fanart but I agree that the scene is particularly evocative. I've always found it's interesting to have that scene where the leaf is described as the coward's mark and then later Attolia uses it who I do not think of as a coward. I don't think there's a connection really (isn't poisoning often depicted as the coward's tool?) but it often comes to my mind when reading The Thief.
