Alright, I could be out of the loop, but has anyone heard any recent news about when (or if???) the next book is coming out?

I was just thinking about that because I was thinking that I felt like rereading the series, and then I thought... wouldn't it be best if I reread it right before the new one came out? But when is it going to come out??

Back in January, there was an announcement saying the last two books were in the "home stretch" of being finished, and that they would be released in the "not too far off future." (who knows what that means in the publishing world). The announcement also said that Greenwillow was reissuing the first four books with new covers (before the next book is released) to bring the series to a new generation of readers.

I would put in a link, but I know people have had issues with that in the past. If you wanted to look it up, the post is titled "News" and the tags are "new book," and "sequels." The date was January 16.

I just reread the books and was thinking about how it's both depressing and a relief that it takes so long for each book to come out. As agonizing as the wait is, life is a lot more manageable knowing that at least there's another QT book to look forward to!

Good info! I'm very interested to see what the updated covers look like. The newest ones are beautiful, but I'm constantly annoyed that I couldn't get books 1 and 2 in hardcover, and Hamiathe's Gift on the cover of "The Thief" was just an absurd depiction. Crossing my fingers for the best covers yet!
