Nov. 19th, 2006 09:56 pmI've finally caught up on all the old posts, and de-lurked enough to ask a question:
Is anyone at all interested in doing some sort of community secret santa, or possibly a holiday book swap?

Date: 11/20/06 02:17 pm (UTC)I think it would be great fun, and I would love to participate, but it is too great of a risk. I know I am much too casual about sharing personal information on line, but this worries me. Unless someone has a way to keep it private and secure ...

Date: 11/20/06 04:32 pm (UTC)It is a lovely idea, but I have to agree with everyone else. It would involve the sharing of personal information, such as addresses, and if this is to happen at all, it should be something agreed upon by two individuals, not done through a community, I think. I just can't think of any way of keeping the information secure enough.
Bear and Philia's ideas are nice. People could choose to sign up for something like that. :)
