KoA Synecdoche

I think of KoA as being like The Princess Bride. You start a list of all the best lines and end up copying the entire script. So I expect a number of us may have a lot of contenders for this one.

I don't know that I can top ninedaysaqueen's suggestion of "I'm not as dumb as you think I am, even if you are." But I'll share my original list anyway.

- To those watching, it didn't seem possible that he could succeed, but with one hand, and no visible effort, he defied the laws of the natural world. (pg. 101)

- "Well, that was revealing."
"Only to those with eyes to see...." (pg. 102)

- "I didn't believe you," the queen admitted with a delicate smile.
"Now you know better." The king smiled back. (pg. 234)

- The king only flicked a glance in his direction. "I lied." (pg. 241)

- Now they knew that this was the entirety of what they knew. (pg. 332)

- "People do frequently seem to be surprised once my husband is involved." (pg. 371)

- "But the truth is always right in front of you to see." (pg. 384)

Breaking my own rules:

- The Attolians assumed it was an accident, but Ornon knew better. (pg. 92)

Nice! I hadn't thought of that, but you're right.

And it's a logical extension of how I got started on the entire project. I was (re)reading CoK and came across a line that struck me as a possible synecdoche for the entire series.
