A bit off topic: Illustrations
May. 11th, 2017 01:41 amThis is a question, either for Megan herself if she has the time to pop by, or for anyone who's going to a book tour event to ask Megan for me, please?
In one of the recent interviews, Megan mentioned reading the Green Knowe series as a child. Did her copies have the Peter Boston woodcut style illustrations in?

And does anyone else think they're just the sort of balance between showing and not telling that would make splendid illustrations for QT?

Oh yeah. I have a toddler. ;-)
Though I am actually hoping that Thick as Thieves seizes my imagination so thoroughly that I won't be able to HELP throwing some spot illustrations together. We'll see. (Really, I don't think Megan will let me down. ;-)

Date: 5/12/17 12:50 am (UTC)If you do feel inspired into art by TAT, I could photograph the rest of the Green Knowe illustrations and figure out where in the book they come, to give you some more ideas for a whole project?
Toddlers are a good thing! For one thing, they are the next generation of QT fans!

And I think it would probably be easier to just see if I can get my hands on my own copy of the book somehow, so I can read it for myself ;-)
