I'm certainly game for reading about it & squeeing, if you have one!

I like all of these things! Or, being in the presence of all of them, at least. I'd rather sail all night and hike up a flight of stars than try surfing for real. Could I just jump up and down in the waves?

I WILL probably go SOMEWHERE in England within the next two years. ...

Can we just sort-of not go home afterward? But in all seriousness, I'd genuinely love to live in the UK and if I could meet up I would be all over this.

I'm in! While I'm there, can I buy some goat-wool underwear? I hear it's all the rage in Eddis. I think the slogan is, "The Underwear to Wear, When You're Actually Wearing Underwear."

(See, this was a long discussion a few years ago--when Gen strips down in TT to wash at the pump, there's no mention of underwear. Does he wear them, or do the Thieves of Eddis typically go commando?)

(Plus, the discussion was how Megan came to call us Reprobates for the first time. And she used the word "ruminate" which is such a lovely, goat-related word. http://sounis.livejournal.com/6847.html)

Aaaah, I have gone back to that discussion every few years since finding Sounis. (It usually happens when I'm on the tags page for an unrelated reason and am reminded that the "underwear" tag exists...) It makes me so nostalgic despite the fact that I hadn't even read the books at that point. And I think about it any time I hear the word ruminate.

"I won't post anything on the web. Because if I ever do, that airy whistling noise you hear from Ohio will be the gassification of my future career."

... I'm glad that she was wrong about that, so far. :)
