I just read a fascinating article on the BBC about a whistled language used by farmers in a Greek mountain village. Of course, I immediately thought of Eddis. Surely the shepherds and farmers in remote villages in Eddis would use something similar...?

At any rate, I thought it was cool enough to share!

Someone told me about this article this week, and I have to be honest, I sort-of zoned out because I immediately started thinking about Eddis and how I could see this language being used there (like replacing or supporting signal fires in wartime, etc.). Fun to find another mind thinking about this too. :)

Also, this is now on my bucket list of destinations to visit.

I'm really glad Tzanavaris invited skilled linguists to record the language so it's not completely lost!
