What books are you hoping Santa brings you this holiday season? Let's assume you are worthy of books and not, say, a lump of coal. What are you dying to read?

Now, that's my kind of Santa. Stacks and stacks of books.
*Also, did you know the song lyrics were "lean your ear this way"? I did not. I'm not sure what I thought they were but...not that. Hmmm.

Date: 12/22/18 09:27 pm (UTC)(Which reminds me: I went caroling last weekend and, after a somewhat panic-inducing attempt at Carol of the Bells, in which the sopranos threw caution to the wind while the altos managed to get ahead of everyone else, we took a stab at Fum, Fum, Fum. Only it was getting towards dinnertime and with smells from a nearby bakery wafting over us, we changed it to, "Food, food, food!")
I'm hoping for a copy of House of Many Ways so I can complete my Howl re-read, and I've had my eye on The Art of Beatrix Potter. She was an accomplished and largely self-taught artist, and her work went beyond darling rabbits in little blue jackets. Hoping to re-inspire myself, and get back into drawing and painting in the new year!
Currently scrolling through the paperbacks on my wish list and deciding which ones would work best for tossing into a carry-on, as I have a few plane and train rides coming up in January, and I don't fancy hauling any tomes around. (Can you tell I'm not much of an ebook person?) Perhaps that could be a topic for a future WSK--what books have you read/picked up while traveling, and where were you when you discovered them?
