Gaithersburg meetup?

Hi, I’m a long time mostly lurker and I love this community. Thanks to all of you for being a kind, thought-provoking, and welcoming corner of the internet. I’m wondering if anyone else is planning to go to the Gaithersburg Book Festival on 5/18 and if there’s a meetup planned? And if not, can I start one? I’d love to meet some of you in person. :)

I wish! I thought about flying up for it, because we have family close by, but I was out of town last weekend and as much as my husband loves me and is great taking care of the kids... it was hard to justify since I saw her at the North Texas Teen Book Festival in April.

Hey, thanks for the responses on such a last minute post! MWT talked about the map-making process for Return of the Thief and how her maps are as unreliable as her narrators. They show not just the world, but a specific perspective on the world. I think this talk may have been written up here before, but it was really cool to hear in person. Also, I desperately want to visit Greece? Is this an infectious disease?

She presented alongside Gareth Hinds, who was also a talented and interesting author/illustrator (I now really want to read his graphic novel adaptions of the Odyssey and Iliad). It was the first time I'd been able to go to something like this in person, and a lot of fun, in spite of my apparently incurable shyness. :)
