Me, too! Do you find yourself disappointed, since none of those other thieves are as twisty and thief-y as Gen? Or, do you feel like some other people's thieves are a Gen ripoff/wannabe?

Always always disappointed. I think the closest to a rip off I've felt was The False Prince, i think?

"The Child Thief" by Dan Smith has probably been the best, though it's nothing like MWTs books. It's a gruesome thriller set during 1930s Ukraine that kept me on my seat the whole time.

Also "City of Thieves" by David Benioff was another wartime story that managed to be somehow gory, haunting, and hilarious all at once.
