Is it a spoiler if the author/publisher released the information? Even so, it's only a mild spoiler, in the form of a brief paragraph, as one might read on the back cover of a book. But still, I understand some readers like to jump in blind. :)

My definition of spoiler for the forthcoming book in a series by an author I love is: anything that's not on the spine of the book.

Title: good
Author: great

And done.

But you don't have to mind me. I'll just stand in the corner with my eyes closed and my fingers in my ears, singing lalalalalala (off key) to myself until November or so.

I know some people feel that way, which is why we warn for spoilers even if it is just the official marketing synopsis. I understand if you don't want to know anything about the book before you read it. :)

To me, a spoiler is like Darth Vader being Luke's father--important plot details or twists. In other words, information that could ruin the suspense an author is building up to. However, I understand if any information about the book is a spoiler to you.

Last time I was this dissappointed in someone was when someone spoiled to me that the bad guy in that one novel is actually a vampire. I forgot the title, but I think the authour was one "Bram Stoker".

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm hoping and hoping for elephants. Or at least AN elephant. The punishment for anyone who risks the king's displeasure could be an assignment to clean the elephant's stable.

I remember reading about the elephant back when I was still just lurking and hadn't officially joined!
I used to be friends with someone who I turned into a QT fan, and take a wild guess as to what her favourite animal was.
