There's another great article on tor.com titled Six Great SFF Love Stories, by Everina Mawell. And guess who her first OTP is? You got it--Eugenides and Attolia. Some other of my favorites are mentioned, too (Miles and Ekaterin!), plus, ideas for books I haven't yet read.  Has anyone read Empire of Sand by Tasha Suri? It sounds like one I might like.

I was about to say "Yes and I remember really liking it" but then decided to double check the book. Turns out I must have read something with a similar title to Empire of Sand and so I haven't read it, but it sounds just like something I'd like. Have you started it by chance?

No, I haven't. I have so many unread library books on my Kindle I've had to put it on airplane mode until I finish, lest they disappear. Right now I'm reading--and really enjoying--A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine, which sounds a *little* bit like Empire of Sand.

Empire of Sand is pretty high up on my TBR! I've been craving a good romantic fantasy book lately, and that one keeps coming up in Reddit.
