Wiki quotes

Recently, Philia was kind enough to write some lovely articles about QoA and KoA to put on wikipedia. This led to me thinking that we should put together a page of quotes as well. If you have any favorite quotes, quotes that you think are important, or any quotes you think should be put on the page, post a comment here. Be sure to include  1. which book the quote is from, 2. what edition of the book you're using, 3. which chapter the quote is from, and 4. the speaker of the quote. Also, please be extra careful to type your quotes accurately! That way, it will be easier to just copy and paste them.

Can they be quotes full of spoilers? If so, I like this one:

A while back allthingevil123 made some wallpapers for each book with quotes on them. Some of those quotes would work well too...I'd go look them up now except that I have to go do homework. :(

Of course, if we need to avoid spoilers, this whole post may not be of much use. :P

no, i think spoilers are okay. otherwise, most of my favorite quotes would be ruled out :P

For making the next two books cause making a article for wiki is no easy job!

As for quotes one of my favorites is in Queen of Attolia when Gen is at the palace all angry and yelling at the queen and says something like "You don't know what it feels like to have one and and not even the right one."
(Sorry but I don't exactly own any of the books.)

Oh and in King of Attolia near the end Gen says like, "Live in trust of my god and you will never fear falling unless he let's you go."

And my FAVORITE, in The Thief, when Gen is sleeping and is being woken up and says, "I don't want to get up, I want you to leave me alone."
Not wise but I always laugh out loud at Gen's laziness in that book.

I think I found the QoA and KoA quotes you're talking about:

I'm not sure where The Thief one is yet, because I don't know that book as well as the other two...are these the ones you were thinking of?

Well, the cover's just fallen off The Thief, need to go find sellotape to fix it back together...again. Right, favourite quote (shortened with the proper elipses and stuff because it's longish)from that has to be:

'The magus gave me an ugly look. "...No one's going hungry so that you can eat." "I don't see why not," I said, as I lay down in the grass for a nap..."I'm a lot more important that anyone else here."'

Oh, I love Gen in The Thief.

And in KoA, my fave part is '[The king] wouldn't even look at Ornon. Short of throwing a dinner roll at him, there was no way to get his attention.' I can just picture it!

Avian, I really haven't forgotten about this. I looked in the posts tagged favorite scenes/lines, and everything I would say is already there. Of course, you HAVE to include, "I can steal anything" and "Steal peace, Eugenides. Steal me some time," from Eddis.

i plan to set this whole page up sometime this week... it's looking like wednesday right now. once i pull the tagged quotes, my quotes, and the few in the chatzy backlog, i should have plenty. then, if anyone ever comments with more, i can just add them in :)
