I Interrupt My Regularly Scheduled Vacation...

... to bring you exciting news.

Seriously, I'm on vacation in Maine visiting as many of the locales mentioned in the wonderful Moosepath League series by Van Reid as are possible in 6 days.

(And if you've never read any of the Moosepath League books by Van Reid, I highly recommend them. They're nothing like Megan's books and Van, if you ask, tells everything. However, if the overlap in the Venn Diagram of Charles Dickens, P.G. Wodehouse, and Garrison Keillor sounds at all intriguing to you, I beg you to read them. Anyway, back on topic.)

I took a detour from the Moosepath today to visit the Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick, ME and meet @readsintrees.

She have me a wonderful tour of the library (Bonus: exhibit of original Robert McCloskey art!), we talked QT, and ate delicous gelato. And, of course, we wore our offical QT shirts!

This is the third time I've been lucky enough to meet a member of Sounis IRL and I highly recommend the experience. Thanks for a wonderful few hours @readsintrees!

Oh, how nice! Sounds like you had a fantastic time. And, original Robert McClosky art! I loved his books when I was a kid. And I gotta read the Moosepath books, it sounds like.

rouan1 My trip to Maine taught me that I enjoy vacationing (every other trip has been a family trip) and that vacations are made better when you get to meet fellow book fans, so maybe someday I'll head your way. (Though you'd have to remind me which way that is....)

E chase, I live in Central NY, near Utica, just south of the Adirondack Park. So if any Sounisians travel the NYS Thruway and want to take a break along the way, I live a short distance from the Utica exit.
