I'm a new fan, and I've only just finished - or more appropriately, gobbled up - The Thief and The Queen of Attolia these past three days, and today I managed to get my hands on a copy of The King of Attolia, so no spoilery posts for me just yet. But I would love to join in on all the merry Gen-lovin' here, if it pleases.

Quick question, though: Is it true that MWT wrote a Eugenides-centric short story for a Disney magazine? If so, is there a link to it on the internet?

The Disney short story does exist, but I don't have a link to it. A couple awesome people here will probably hook you up with it shortly, because they're cool that way.

Thank you! I'm sure I'll love it. I'm trying to read reaaal slowly, actually, so as to savor every moment of it. I'd devoured QoA in one sitting, and regretted it; so I'm going to read each sentence of KoA twice so the book lasts twice as long, heh.

You bet. KoA is best. I remember the DESPERATION I was in to get my hands on it! I haven't felt that way since Harry Potter, honestly. I read it in one sitting but with music (it slows you down, makes you concentrate) and it was like eating a bar of truffle chocolate by licking it in soft, slow gulps. Like a steaming cup of cocoa after a delirious day of exhilerating skiing. Like -

Well, I'm not finished just yet, but I really really really really love QoA, particularly for all the Eugenides/Irene love, but it's too soon for me to choose favourites. KoA is getting reaaally good though. I've reached the part where Eugenides dances with Irene and pulls out her hairpins. SQUEE!

Costis = HAWT. OMG. I am especially font of soldies (being a cadette officer m'self), and Costis is just... well, to quote your icon, one hot piece of Attolian manflesh. xD

as awsome as costis is, pretty awsome, he is a little stupid and ver naive, but then again so is Gen in the first book, gen sorta grows up in the second one as everyone can tell.
But I have read these books so many times and have been killing myself trying to find a site with people who are obsessed as I am. and I have fiiiiiinnnnallllly found one :D
