New Readaloud Chapter!

The lovely and talented jade_sabre_301 is the first to finish a readaloud chapter from The King of Attolia.  It's Chapter 8 and it's short, but awesomely done.  Go listen to the king upset his physician, the queen faint, and Costis have an epiphany.

Not sure where I post compliments, but it's a great job. Petros' voice is wonderful and Gen's yelps had me snickering loads.

So, I wasn't exactly stalking you by looking at your userpics (I like the one you've been using), but...I LOVE the Inara one. That's beautiful.

Aw, go right ahead! I spend waaaaaaaay too much time looking for the right icons, so I'm always happy when people notice them.
THAT INARA ONE the second I saw "Heart of Gold" for the first time, I said "I NEED AN ICON OF INARA CRYING." Because she looks so pretty and she's so incredibly heartbroken and it's just a really beautiful scene.
And then when I finally switched up my icons I probably spent at least two hours looking for one icon, just one, of Inara crying. And this was the first one I found (and you'd think there'd be more!), but luckily it was just perfect. I do believe I lavished an amazing amount of praise on the icon-maker, I was so happy to find it. So I'm glad you like it!! :-)

Well, I'm glad you found them because it meant I saved a few minutes (which I then put to good if fruitless use looking for Waitress icons). Pretttttty.

It's a beautiful icon - but then, Inara is pretty, so no surprise there. You're right about the heart-brokenness (erm, heart-broken quality?). It's really very effective; the whole thing packs an enormous emotional wallop just because Inara finally loses it. Poor thing. I'm a huge melodrama freak, and I love it.

There's a little tiny bit of me that wonders what happens if she starts slinging inkpots Attolia style. But only a little bit.

Wait. Attolia. Inara. Hmm. Casting game.

I know! I know I know I know! *glee* Because it's so--agh. And then Mal's all like "What, what'd I do?" and Inara's like *sob*.

...oooh. Oh. I could kind of see that. I mean, if she didn't smile so much. Inara smiles a lot.

Hmm. You're right about Inara. Maybe if she...um...stopped smiling? Meh. A momentary thought.

Waitress is excellent. Much like Chocolat - you come out craving baked goods - but sweet and funny and full of goofy Nathan Fillion and what more could anyone possibly want?

Ooooh, yes. There's something about the super-glossy Companion polish that strikes me as very Attolia. The way everything is in place all the time (Heart of Gold excepted, natch). "When she's angry, she sits, and when she's sad, she sits" - always beautiful, always elegant.

Catch Inara in a moment of not smiling - like here, http://inara.anarya.net/ - and I can definitely see it.
