Readaloud Update

For those of you who are new to sounis,  there is an unofficial read-aloud of chapters from the books, done by various members.

Two things:

I.  The clever and  accommodating mycenaeth  has been hosting the readaloud audio files on a server for us.  Unfortunately, her server subscription is ending soon.  So, a couple of things.

• If you want to listen to the chapters, or download them, you need to do it now.  In a few days the links won't work anymore.  I have all the files on my computer, but I'd feel better if other people did, too, so they are not lost.
• Anyone have any suggestions as to where to keep them?  Do any of you have access to a server and would you be willing to host them?  I really don't know much about all this, but it looks like right now there are 16 mp3 files, each between 9 and 48 mb.

If you have any ideas, you can comment or send me an email and I'll give you more information.  A HUGE thanks goes to mycenaeth  for being such a gracious host!


II.  The lovely and talented jade_sabre_301  has completed another readaloud chapter.  It's Chapter 15 from Queen of Attolia.  For now you can download it here.  This link will be active for 7 days.  Go and listen to Gen propose to Attolia!

For the next few days you can listen to the older chapters here.  If you want to claim a chapter for your very own, you can do that, too.  There are a couple of chapters left and plenty that have been spoken for but not yet done.  Get busy, slackers.

So I went to the readaloud page to download all the chapters, because I lost most of them over the summer, and I opened all the links at once so I could save them all at once... and they all started and it was like a Sounis conversation!

Checkers, each one takes a whole half an hour to download on uni internet and i'm not supposed to download anything.
