Lolol, I love Sounis. This was brought on by a chatzy chat from a while ago, where we had a theory that Sounis has been off writing very bad self-congradulatory fanfiction. Which is why he hasn't appeared for a while - he was busy. 8D If memory serves me correctly, I believe the whole point of the joke in chatzy was that it was rather erotic and probably contained the Magus, but this was funnier. I imagine this is basically how the book would have gone if Sounis had written it.
Oh yes, and as a reward for listening to me natter, you get super-slick Gen with the Hamiathes' gift in his hair, if it was as big as the one on the front of the one Thief book (the one with the hands).

And then Gen and Attolia got married and Gen stayed a thief and never had to be king and his stinky cousins never died. And the king of Sounis died of syphilis so Sophos became king and married Eddis and everything was nice and not unpleasant at all. Oh, and whenever he got in a fight either his wife or his god (whoever wasn't busy) would come and kick the other guys' ass for him."
See? Not as good as Sounis'. We know too much about Gen, I think, to realize that the only thing he really wants is his right hand to once again be firmly attached to his arm. And that he'd be the guy sobbing "Why can't we all just get along?"
