Unshelved

So has anyone here heard of the comic 'Unshelved'? Probably not. It's a comic strip about a library, that happens to be drawn by one of my dad's friends. Every Sunday they do a book review in comic format. It's a cool idea, and I love looking at reviews of my fave books. Case in point, this one from their collection 'Book Club'. I had totally forgotten I had ever seen it until I read The Thief. Naturally, having not read the rest of the books, they didn't fully get the epicness-that-is-Eugenides, but I guess he spends most of the first book trying to mask it, and they wouldn't want to give the ending away... Here's the link, if you're interested:

Enjoy!

I'm a librarian and I get Unshelved sent to me in my e-mail. I have one collection of their books (the Book Club one). They're seriously hilarious, especially if you are a librarian and know what it's like. (c:

I read it on RSS feed. My wife's a librarian. I love it. I love her, too, but that's beside the point.

Its like that around here. We're (mostly) all nerdy in the same way. Like, If I go up to a random person on the street and say "Megan Whalen Turner" or "Robin McKinley" or "Naomi Novik", I'd just get a "...huh?" Here, we all speak the same language.

Mostly. I STILL don't understand all of the inside jokes that were around way before I joined (I still feel like a newbie, but I've been here... how long? Over a year I guess) but thats just how it is around here... :0)

That's a really nice way to put it.

Of course you can steal it. We are all thieves here. :)

I made it, so you can credit me. MWT posted that picture once, of the bee earrings from some museum.
