Off Topic--The Cybils Awards

The Cybils Awards, given by the blogging community for the best books in a variety of genres, are accepting nominations from anyone who wants to nominate their favorites:  http://dadtalk.typepad.com/cybils/.  There's no new MWT for us to nominate (sigh)  but please head over and nominate lots of great sci fi and fantasy books, because I'm one of the committee members who gets to read them all!  And it makes for a nice reading list for us, to have in hand while She knits.

I nominated Clementine by Sara Pennypacker for the middle grade category-I just read it the other day (its a very quick read) and I thought it was darling and funny, even if they say its supposedly for second or third graders. I'll have to think a bit more about SF/Fantasy, mostly because most of the SF/F I've been reading is older stuff.

No one has nomiated House of Many Ways, by Diana Wynne Jones, which surprises me. Or the sequel to Wildwood Dancing--Cybele's Secret, by Juliet Marillier. Or, I'm guessing, many other great books.
