Hello all! I'm Jenn, from California. You may have noticed me lurking around the comment boards. I've been waiting until I had something somewhat substantial to say to actually make a post.

I am thrilled to find such a lovely group of users who are interested in the series. Until Last week I didn't know that "The King of Attolia" even existed. I went straight to Barnes & Noble and started reading it in my car; I was finished by that night (despite all the other things I was supposed to be doing at the time).

I had first read "Queen of Attolia" about five years ago (and hadn't realized until later that it was actually a sequel to "The Thief." I had given up hope of seeing anything else written by the lovely MWT -- since it had been so long and am thrilled that I was wrong.

Anyway, yesterday I told my friend Lizeth about the series and lent her "The Thief." When she saw the cover to King of Attolia she fell in love with it. So, I made her this (instead of cleaning my room like I was supposed to).

It's not the best thing in the world; I'm horrible with color mediums (including colored pencil) but it was fun to make.

I have one semi-small question about KoA...

When everyone is trying to keep Gen in bed, Phresine tells Gen a story to keep him quite.

First, why does Gen look uncomfortable when she talks about the goddess keeping a close watch on Klimum to make sure he doesn't break his promise (pg 278)?

Second, when Gen interupts again, when Gerothenes is trying to stop Klimun from lying, why is he so unhappy (pg 282)?

Third, does Presine change the ending there?

Fourth, someone calls Gen Basileus in a gesture of respect (I forget where). Does that have anything to do with the king in the story's name being Klimun, Basileus of Kathodicia (pg 283)? Does it mean they think he is a peacebringer?

And fifth, it feels like there is some obvious symbolic meaning in the story that I am missing. Can someone explain the obvious to me?

Oops, I had ment for this to be shorter. Oh well.
