So, so, so, since NPR is doing a top YA favorites list, Ms. Turner suggested that we have our own Sounis’ top YA favorites list.  So here is a post to list those favorite YA books. 

I will tally up all the titles, and post what books got the most votes.

            I will comment on the bottom to say that any other additions will not be counted.

LeakyCon Lit Track Meetup!

Megan will be in Chicago for the LeakyCon Lit Track August 9-13!

LEAKYCON "celebrates everything about the Harry Potter fandom."   The Lit Track is a program of panels and discussions about YA literature, and you can see all the authors who will be there.

Megan wants to set up a ThiefCon meetup while she is there.  You don't have to attend LeakyCon (but don't you want to?), but the ThiefCon will be there in the area somewhere.  Start making travel plans now!  Watch her website for more info, once it gets closer to the date, and we'll post info here, too.

Hello! I have a (stupid) question to pose to all you Sounisians! 
In KoA after the assassination attempt when Costis comes to Eugenides and asks for help in saving the guards from the queen, Gen tells him the archaic, etc, etc, Costis worries that Teleus won't be able to remember the invocation because it's unfamiliar and Archaic, but doesn't worry that he himself may forget it.
Do you think that Archaic language was part of his education? 
Because that would be cool.
