I like that she tells people not to even read the backs of the books. That's what I do. I'm so glad that absolutely nothing was spoiled for me when I first read the series.
Wish it could be the first time again for me, too. :D
This review makes me want my own copy even more so I can re-read The Thief. Why don't the bookstores have it? :( I could always pester my friend to let me borrow it again but after the last incident (when I kept the book with me for weeks after I finished reading it) I don't think she'll lend them to me.
Oops, I mean that's the GREATER of the two evils. I'd rather have 17 copies of each, all mismatched, than have to wait another SECOND to read it. But maybe that's just me. ;-D
For those who may be coming in late, here's the link (http://bookshelvesofdoom.blogs.com/bookshelves_of_doom/2009/06/the-thief-the-queens-thief-1-megan-whalen-turner.html) to the specific post. Leila's added several more posts since then.
Don't forget, Our Author *does* have another book out, a collection of short stories called _Instead Of Three Wishes_. It's a lovely tide-over until CoK comes out.
