SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wait, peashooter? what? and I must say I didn't know there were lampposts in Attolia (must now revamp mental image). And goodness, Sophos, find a razor. I'm sure they have razors in QT world. And illustrator-man? he's seventeen-ish. I know boys who are growing beards at seventeen, but they're all really sad, stubbly beards. Not the Paul Bunyan thing he's got going on there.MAP. WANT WANT WANT.
(uses original cover icon in protest of the beard)
Wait. But... how could there have been lampposts in Attolia? there are all those chase scenes where the darkness is very important... and why wouldn't Attolia have ordered all the lamps lit at the beginning of QoA? so the guards could have seen him? I'm so confused now. Could someone enlighten me?
Yay! Thanks for posting that! It's suddenly occurred to me that I'll have to rename my "favourite books" shelf the "...of kings" shelf, since 3 of my all-time favourite series contain a book with this sort of title. (The Game of Kings, A Clash of Kings, and now A Conspiracy of Kings.)
I was noticing the same thing on my bookshelf (although I'm not going to say that Clash of Kings was exactly a favourite. I liked it - but Lymond and Gen are exponentially better)
The way the summary is phrased, I wonder if the story will take place in flashback style, gradually explaining how Sophos ends up on that lamppost. Thoughts?
A LAMP POST? AND A PEASHOOTER? THAT IS JUST AWESOME! And I am VERY happy there will finally a map. Now I can trace Attolia with my finger and remember that that's where Gen lives *squee*
I totally didn't even notice the rope the first time. I thought it was a sleeve of an undershirt or something. I AM NOT A TRUE FAN ANY LONGER!! *weeps silently* not sure about the beard... but I applaud anything having to do with Sophos, in Attolia, climbing a lamppost. Could somebody enlighten me, though, please.. what's a peashooter? Is it some kind of gun? ~toastisyummy
Includes a map YES!!!!!!!!! ALL MY DREAMS HAVE COME TRUE. Hurry up hurry up March 23!!!!!
Does anyone else feel like the illustrator was lurking around Sounis, getting ideas on what to improve on? Gone is the old-man hand, the little-boy face, the eye... we are one spoilt bunch of fans. Is anyone else very happy that the eye is gone?
And climbing a lamppost with a peashooter? LOL! Yes, Sophos, that's very mature. You obviously have grown up XD
Hey, if Harry Potter books can be released simultaneously worldwide, why not Gen?
aaahhhh... so now we finally know the truth... Irene isn't Irene at all, she's the White Witch, escaped from Narnia! That's why she's so icy!! *grins, then smacks own forehead as punishment for bad joke* ~toastisyummy
Yeah, I'm been spending the whole day thinking about that. Here's a sketch.
