Haven't posted here in ages, but i was drawing this and thought i'd share. It's a work in progress,so any mistakes in anatomy you can find would be helpful.

I have been wanting to continue my Thief comic, but it's on my other computer and i havent had a chance since the move... :(

A Conspiracy Of Kings. I am counting the minutes...

Hard to critique--braid died of pretty

Okay, my brain overloaded on the super pretty, but I'll try to be critical. Which is hard, especially on a work in progress because likely you just haven't got to these bits yet, BUT HERE'S MY TRY:

Attolia- the shading on her hand makes it seem like her knuckles are bending inward. Her left eye is lower than her right and her lips are asymmetrical (not that either is necessarily a mistake). The tiny bit of the window behind the arch of her back makes it look as though she is standing with her hips way, way unnaturally forward.

Gen- his eyes are each different shapes.

The skill you show in shading and the eye you have for color palettes? Positively astounding. Their skin tones are unique while both human-looking. The texture of Attolia's dress -- holy wow. I can practically feel it! Also love love love her eye make-up. And, they match awwww

I know how it is to be working on/staring at a picture so long that you just can't see these things that you would otherwise catch, so I hope a fresh eye helped. Though I'd totally favorite this as is.

Anytime, truly--fandom or non.

Also you can hit me up if you're just looking for compliments, because those bits were much more obvious, and easier to write--once I got my breath back, that is.

Gorgeous! They really look like a couple to be reckoned with.

I'll just add one critique. It's the hook. I know his right arm is bent, but somehow it just ends up looking too short. Straight armed, the hook would reach to the ends of the fingers on his left hand, I think, but it looks like it's stunted a little. Maybe it's just not obvious his arm is bent unless you look really closely -- but even then it still seems a tiny bit short to me.

I know that's incoherent. I'm not an artist so I can't give you "why", just "what it looks like to me".

But really, the texture is amazing. Like you could feel the nap of the fabric through the monitor. Great work!

Wow. Wow.

Can I say it again? Wow.

This is amazing, and sooo perfect for the two of them! Uhh, criticisms? I didn't see any of the things that kindigo mentioned, the first time I looked. (Except Attolia's hand. And also Gen's front arm looks kind of skinny from the elbow down...minor details, though!) Are you doing this in Photoshop? It's wonderful. I love artwork like this and I only wish I could do it myself. Show us the finished product, por favor!

Also, your profile pic makes me giggle.

They look pretty similar--I would say the Gen in the picture is a bit pointier-chinned than Avatar Gen, but they're both very Genlike.

That is so amazing and beautiful! I love their appearance, the color contrast with the background, and how they seem to be challenging whoever they're looking at. Not exactly an anatomy problem, but Attolia's posture is a little odd, like she's leaning forward.

I have an explanation for the leaning forward: They've been posing for this portrait for hours and have begun a whispered heated debate over the guard. Attolia is leaning forward threateningly, implying that the minute the artist goes away she is going to kill Eugenides.

Oh man. So much love! Gen looks adorable here, just like I imagine him. <3

The only thing I can spot is that his neck is a bit too short (not by a huge amount, since his torso is reclined, but it needs to be bent a bit). :)

Wow, this is beautiful. The coloring is fantastic!

The only critique I could offer would be pertaining to the location of Gen's ear. It seems positioned a little too far to the right. But that's pretty minor.

In any case, they look just as I've always imagined them. A very striking couple, indeed. :D

Oh, lovely. An additional comment to the already helpful ones you've received so far: both of their ears seem a bit too low (especially Attolia's). Perhaps move them up to be more on the same level of their eyes? Anyhow, I love the colors and that Gen actually looks younger than Attolia. Good job. :)

Oh, and I also love the window. :D

Wow. Their ears are really far down. I was just examining my own in the mirror and laughing at the anatomy fail. Thanks for pointing that out. XD

And thanks for the comment too. ^_^

I don't have any critiques to add to what's already been said, but there are so many things I love about it: the colors, the facial expressions, the hair, the window!, the clothes. It's a very striking piece; thanks so much for doing it!

Beautiful! I love Gen's expression and the setting and their outfits.

The only thing I'm not sold on is the depth of the shading around her eyes. (The makeup?) It makes Attolia look a bit racoonish... though it fits the mood of the pic.

Anyway, I can't wait to see what the finished piece will look like!

Hrm, I see what you mean about the shading, i'll see what i can do. :D

Thanks for the comment!

This is so georgous!
It is also very eye catching and the colouring is very impressive which lessens the (very few) mistakes you made! I love the window! '-'
The only thing I don't like about the picture is that it makes me feel a useless artist, but hey, great work!

Ok, so here's my (obviously non-artist) critique: Holy wow, you drew this?? It's astounding! I love it!

Thanks for sharing this with us! It's beautiful--I love the colors, and the window (which I know others have also commented on). Their expressions are so in-character--and on my computer at least, his skin looks darker than hers, which is definitely canon but sometimes blips out in my mental images. So I'm glad to be reminded.

I am not an artist and can't offer any critiques, so I'll quit while I'm ahead. Again, it's lovely--and thanks!
