yea the benefit i see is book store calling you in to pick it up!

As for discounts..that failed now. Yes there's discounts but they made a new damn rule about no pre-order of books can allow free shipping! so when you add that amount in, it cost more than to buy the book online than at the store, so i opt for the store day. I think i go hold book next time to pick up! And it was good, i got the discounts from the store b/c they were doing their march break sale event! There's not much independent bookstore I know off from where i live, its all own by Indigo Inc.

I don't know where you live, but I used bookdepository.com. They do give discounts, are UK-based, and ship FREE to a lot of countries with NO minimum orders. The bad part is it took 18 days to get after they shipped, so I got it a week after the lay-down date. An internet friend says sometimes she gets pre-orders 'way before the laydown date, so it's a bit of a crapshoot.
