Haha, sounds like somebody got the idea from a previous contest. I'm going to give this contest a miss. I already own a copy and if they are just going to draw a random name, then what's the point of being creative? Well, I guess there is always the geekout value...

Cool contest, thanks for posting! (Although puppeteer's right, it's just like the one Greenwillow held a while back.) Is there anyone else who is starting to get antsy to know what the *real* title of the series is going to be? I mean, MWT chose all her favorites from the last contest, but since most of the winners were joke names, do you think she's contemplating something completely different for the final decision?

Sure they did. Their first line says: "Before the release of A Conspiracy of Kings Megan Whalen Turner held a contest to see who could come up with a name for the series."

Original contest can be found here (http://greenwillowblog.com/?p=418).

But hey, a free book is a free book! And a free ACoK is even better.

I guess they may not have actually gone and *seen* it. They must have known of it, since they mention it in their post. At least, that's how I interpret it when they say "Megan Whalen Turner held a contest...".

Anyhoo, thanks for posting the link.

No, you're right, it doesn't matter. It's nice that they're having the contest and giving the book away. Maybe some people used up all their creative juices already, but I hope some great new suggestions are made.
